Size: 5′.10"x3′.2" ( 178×97 cm)

The abrashed sapphire blue field is decorated with an eccentric lattice enclosing stepped polygons,skeletal palmettes,two human figures,two animals,lazy S’s,infinite knots and other interesting elements.There are three borders:the innermost displays diagonal stripe segment pattern;the middle border with a madder ground employs a repeating discrete colorful octagon design;the outermost and widest stripe has the iconic ivory and blue Zeikhour wave or running dog border.In this border at the top right corner is an inverted date panel reading 1302.The blue selvedges and the ends are original including a soumak flatwoven band and a knotted warp net.All the colors are from natural sources.The pile is soft and the rug has a pliable handle.The condition of this attractive rug is good.SOLD
