The characteristic rose and carnation Zeikhour pattern is executed in pink,yellow,light red and dark red.The pattern closely covers the emerald green ground with dark brown squiggles and ivory rosettes.The main border has the iconic Zeikhour medium blue and ivory wave or running dog design.The inner madder border varies between light red and a darker tone,and is ornamented by a broken vine and leaf motif.At each end of the rug is a narrow blue soumak flatwoven band followed by a net of bunched and knotted warps.All the colors are from natural sources.This attractive long rug is in good condition.
