This Karagashli style Shirvan long rug displays a navy ground centered by a pole medallion of two stepped and nested hexagons and finial red sunbursts.There is a wide variety of interesting animals along with botehs,octagons,rosettes,lazy S’s,pendants,a cocoon and two knots.Colors include:ivory,shades of red,shades of blue,yellow and aubergine.The ivory main border hosts a double triangle pattern along the sides and barred S at the ends.The inner keyhole reciprocal is part of the field whereas the outer constitutes a complete border.There are three black and white barber pole lines in the border system.At each end is a narrow beige plainweave strip.The colors are vibrant and the condition is good.
