This mint condition,all original large Caucasian features an abrashed natural red ground with the characteristic winged Sewan pattern.Centered by a red cartouche,complex flowers grow toward each end.Hooks,V’s and small animals decorate the dark blue inner panel which is edged by an ivory band displaying additional single and double hooks in red,green and ivory.At the corners of the field are bold stylized plants with hooked herringbone stems.Of the three borders,the middle shows a dark brown and ivory reciprocal wave pattern while the flanking minor borders present colorful triangle motifs.There are four narrow barber pole lines in the border system.At the bottom end the warp loops from the loom are intact.The handle is meaty and chunky.All the colors are from natural sources.The piece is in good condition.
