Qashqai scatter rug from south west Persia (Iran)

This well woven Qashqai Kashkuli rug displays a navy field with a three diamond section pole medallion in red and ivory centering rows of reversing floriated botehs in numerous colors.Various fillers include,stylized flowers,triangles and mini botehs.The beautifully abrashed blue main border shows a repeat of reversing palmettes on a faceted meander.The six minor borders include:two red with chains of stylized botehs;two with ivory ribbon meanders and two additional ribbon pattern stripes in shades of blue.At the top end is a characteristic ivory and navy checkerboard line.The bottom end shows red and blue/green and burgundy subtle checkerboards.All the colors are from natural sources.The handle is soft and pliable.The selvedges are intact.The condition of this attractive piece is good.SOLD
