North West Persian long rug from Iran

Age: circa 1880

Measurements: 7′.3"x3′.6" (221×107 cm)

This attractive long rug has a diagonally striped field in ivory,dark brown,forest green,abrashed blue,burgundy,chocolate and a singleton in yellow.Each diagonal stripe has multicolor Z motifs.The ivory main border has small lozenges ending in double hooks.The broad minor borders are both in keyhole reciprocal patterns in dark brown and red and green and red.There are four red and yellow barber pole lines present.The selvedges are banded in pile colors.The pile is thick and lustrous.All the colors are from natural and vegetable sources.The condition of this lovely rug is very good.SOLD
