Kuba runner from eastern Caucasus,west coast of the Caspian Sea

Size: 15′.7"x3′.5" (475×104 cm)

The dark blue field displays a slightly curvilinear yellow lattice enclosing extremely wide variety of stylized floral motifs.The ivory main border shows a multicolor crab pattern.There are two minor borders showing segmented striped designs and an innermost ivory hexagon chain.There are seven two tone barber pole narrow lines present.The light blue selvedges are intact and at each end is a blue soumak strip followed by a knotted warp net.All the colors are from natural sources.The condition of this unusual piece is good.The runner is folded in the middle to fit the camera.SOLD
