Kuba runner from eastern Caucasus,west coast of the Caspian Sea

This classic Kuba runner displays an abrashed medium blue ground supporting an old gold lattice containing a wide variety of stylized flowers and other minor geometric elements.The ivory main crab border is well executed and there is a particularly attractive green feature.The flanking minor borders have a ribbon like connected S pattern and there are six bitonal barber pole lines.There is a narrow band of blue soumak finishing at each end.The rug is particularly rare in that it is only three feet wide making it a desirable size.All the colors are from natural sources.The rug is in good condition including the original ends and sides.SOLD
