This is an unusual Kuba rug from eastern Caucasus

Age: dated 1310 =1892 Christian date

Measurements: 4′.11"x3′.1" (150×94 cm)

The ivory field is ornamented with offset rows of flowers in burnt orange, red,green,rose,navy and medium blue.The main border is in the classic Zeikhour made of red and rose.There are eight two tone barber pole lines in white and red and yellow and black.Furthermore,there are blue and black keyhole reciprocal minors and a keyhole reciprocal open inner band edges the field.The rug is dated 1310 at the top left corner.At each end is a narrow blue soumak finish.All the colors are from natural and vegetable sources.The handle is meaty and pliable.The condition of this charming rug is very good.SOLD
