Most Khamseh rugs are on blue or ivory. This beautiful example sports a triple ivory pole medallion with striped edge triangles, with a busy scatter of birds and other forms on a dark blue field. An attractive red inner main border frames the panel and is flanked by narrow minor guards. The chessboard pile ends and striped flatwoven kilims are in good harmony. The wool is soft and velvety. All the colors are from natural sources.Plain woven ends and pile are both in very good condition.

THROUGH OUR EFFORTS TO PROVIDE THE HIGHEST QUALITY IMAGES, WE USE VERY HIGH RESOLUTION PHOTOS. IF YOU CANNOT SEE THE WHOLE RUG PLEASE TRY REFRESHING THE PAGE – SOME LONG RUGS MAY NOT FIT WITHOUT ZOOMING.
