This unusually large Khamseh saddle bag (khordjin) displays characteristic chickens surrounding an eight pointed central medallion.The navy ground is accented in ivory,apricot,medium blue,red and light aubergine.The ivory ground main border featured a polychrome diamond and triangle pattern and there are two triangle reciprocal minor borders in red and green and navy and light aubergine.There are two barber pole lines in the border system.At the top end, the closure tabs are diagonally striped in soumak technique.There are two additional lines in blue and burgundy soumak stitch.The original aubergine wool back is intact and shows sections of brown and red wefts.The closure tabs are intact.All the colors are from natural sources.The piece is in good condition.SOLD
