This high pile squarish southwest Caucasian rare Kazak rug shows an interesting combination of Fachralo medallions,tree of life Kazak border and floating Bordjalou Kazak motifs.The off center medallion is decorated with combs,boxes,diamonds and octagons.A red and white narrow barber pole surrounds the navy medallion.Above and below are three large octagonal medallions in navy and ivory,similar but smaller octagons run along the sides of the medallion and there are ivory,yellow,navy and green boxes at the top end and colorful diamonds at the bottom.There is a tertiary fill of diamonds,quincunxes,dots and hooked elements.The attractive green main border hosts classic tree of life Kazak motif of crosses and radiating buds.The flanking minor borders are classic in red and ivory in regular triangular reciprocals.There are two navy solid lines in the border system.All the colors are from natural sources.The piece has a soft,pliable and meaty handle.The condition of this beautiful piece is good.
