The abrashed medium light blue field displays two and a half connected lozenge medallions with internal hooks and centered by diamonds in ivory and red.In one diamond the central motif has a bug like outline.Squares containing hooked X’s,quartered diamonds,little crosses and other lesser geometric elements fill the field.The bold main ivory border shows a broad repeating capital I pattern in various colors.The outer red minor border employs small diamonds and there are three two tone barber pole lines present.At each end is a red plain weave strip.All the colors are from natural sources.The rug is in good condition.
