Kazak rug from Armenia,southwest Caucasus

This extremely attractive southwest Caucasian rug displays two columns each of three and a half Memling Guls on an ivory field.The guls are columned in:red,aubergine,green,blue,yellow and black.There are color sampler poles at the sides of the field and polychrome lozenges up the center.There are five complete or broken horizontal lines of tiny colorful crosses.The ivory main border displays a large disjoint stepped "S" design,and there are two red and blue triangle reciprocal minor guards.In addition there are barber pole lines in red and yellow and red and ivory.All the colors are from natural sources.The piece is in good pile and condition.
