The red ground shows a pattern of two and two conjoint Saz leaves in medium blue and red,both with serrated edges.At the center of the field is a hooked diamond and at the ends of the field are larger halved similar motifs.At each end of the pile areas is an etek “skirt” with stars in various colors followed by multicolor stripes.One on side of the field is a dotted and colorful barber pole strip.The ends of the rug host broad brown flatweaves.All the colors are from natural sources.The handle is chunky and meaty and the weave is unusual with wide wefts.The wool is extremely soft and velvety.The condition is good.
