The deep blue ground displays a pole medallion of twelve varying devices, all characteristic of the area. The red border of stiff vines and stylized palmettes completes the pattern. There is a strong gold, fantastic aubergine,a good light green and a charming red,all natural. At the top end of the navy field a beautiful aubergine abrash is present as well as in the center of the rug.The rug was made just south of the Caucasus and the same rich color palette of Caucasus is evident here.In perfect original condition, there is no trace of center wear.

THROUGH OUR EFFORTS TO PROVIDE THE HIGHEST QUALITY IMAGES, WE USE VERY HIGH RESOLUTION PHOTOS. IF YOU CANNOT SEE THE WHOLE RUG PLEASE TRY REFRESHING THE PAGE – SOME LONG RUGS MAY NOT FIT WITHOUT ZOOMING.
