Small Hamadan rug from west Persia (Iran)

Age: circa 1910

Measurements: 4′.4"x2′.7" (132×79 cm)

The light red field is closely covered by a colorful geometric Herat pattern and is centered by an ivory eight pointed medallion with a dark blue sawtooth edge and an innermost arabesque and multicolor rosette.The medium blue corners are filled with stylized leaves and edged by diagonal stripes featuring an attractive light blue.The narrow madder main border has a connected multicolor star design and there are matching ivory minors with poled botehs and "X" s.There is a solid light red band surrounds the whole.The colors are from natural sources.The condition is very good.SOLD
