Fachralo prayer rug from southwest Caucasus

The tomato red field features two beetle shapes above and three below,all centering the floating rich green shouldered niche.The red field is matched by the red hexagram medallion enclosing a similarly shaped ivory sub medallion.Along the sides of the field are colorful quincunxes and other lesser geometric elements.The ivory main border presents the classic colorful triangle and serrated leaf pattern.The minor borders include:a plain blue inner band;an outer blue dotted border;and four barber pole lines.The wool is soft and the handle is pliable.All the colors are from natural sources.The rug is in good condition.
