Fachralo prayer Kazak rug from southwest Caucasus

This attractive Fachralo prayer Kazak rug centers an abrashed blue mihrab panel which contains an eight pointed red and ivory nested medallion as well as other interesting elements.The blue mihrab is edged by a narrow zig zag border with a matching lower re-entrant.The clasic ivory main border has a zig zag jagged leaf pattern in various colors including a beautiful green.There are two light blue narrow borders with cross motifs and four barber pole lines present.The narrow borders next to the bottom left corner of the blue mihrab panel are bended in,an irregularity sought by connoisseurs.The wool is soft and the handle is pliable.All the colors are from natural and vegetable sources.The pile is high and the condition is good.SOLD
