This extremely colorful eastern Caucasian Chi Chi rug shows the characteristic hooked medallions as well as rows of winged motifs and smaller hooked diamonds.The rows are color varied throughout.At the outer edge of the dark blue field is a red sawtooth pattern.The dark brown main border displays a slightly different version of the classic rosette and diagonal bar design.The flanking ivory minor borders both display floating stars in the field colors.There are four dotted lines and one barber pole narrow line in the border system.At each end is an original flatwoven strip.All the colors are from natural sources.The handle is soft and pliable.The rug is in good condition.
