The rich madder field displays a slightly eccentric Herati design around a sixteen point dark blue pendanted medallion with matching abstractly drawn corners. The royal blue main border has a leafy vine and tiny palmette design. The rust flanking minors display geometric scroll patterns. There is a narrow plain red stripe around the whole and soumak finishes at each end.The warp is cotton and the weft is wool. The rug is heavy and finely woven as expected. All the colors are from natural sources. The condition is good.
