The pendanted light blue medallion is filled with rose bouquets and is centered by eight pointed rose submedallion.At the very center is a yellow and brown salt and pepper rosette.The field design is a compact herati on a rich red ground.The light blue corners are en suite with the medallion.The madder main border is accented with boteh-like devices in aubergine and light blue alternating with leafy clusters with speckled flowers.The ivory minor guards are different in pattern:the outer with rosettes and a stylized vine while the inner has small hexagons,chevrons and hourglasses.The colors are vibrant and from natural sources.The weave is tight and fine.The rug is in full pile and has the original ends and sides.
