Bidjar rug from north west Persia (Iran)

Age: circa 1900

Dimensions: 6′.9"x4′.5" (206×135 cm)

The navy field is centered by a small colorful rosette and above and below are pendanted palmettes.Swirling around are curled leaves,mobile vines and wide variety of colorful flowers.Among the detail colors are light blue,light green,rose and beige.The rose red main border is decorated with rosettes and connected diagonal leaves.The flanking minor borders have undulating floral scroll designs.The outermost narrow border has a navy and rose complex reciprocal and there are four patterned guard lines.All the colors are from natural sources.The pile is evenly low and there are two small repairs at both ends.SOLD
