Squarer than usual for Bergama weavings,the blue field has an unusual central device and a sinekli (dot/fly) pattern often seen on Ghiordes prayer rugs.The red main border is a variant of a Kufic design which has very early Anatolian antecedents.The minor borders are very unusual for this area.All the colors are from natural sources.The ends and sides are original and intact including the dark blue flatwoven finishings.The handle is soft and pliable.The Turkish knotted pile is in good condition.SOLD
