The vine red ground displays a large rectangular blue panel centered by a red and ivory medallion,around which are colorful stars-in-octagons.There are four large ivory rosettes and a scatter fill of lesser geometric devices above and below the main motif.The major border has a parallelogram design in which each panel contains an octagon and two triangles.The panels are colored in dark red,green,blue and burnt apricot.There are two natural orange minor borders each with polychrome ribbon patterns and four barber pole lines;in adition the central panel has a burnt orange border with an "S" pattern and two barber pole lines.All the colors are from natural sources.The vine red background is naturally corroded.The condition of the rug is good.
