Measurements: 5′.11″x5′.2″ (180×157 cm)

This square Afshar tribal rug has an attractive ivory field with four arrays of extremely stylized flowers and vases at the top and bottom.The deep stepped forest green medallion is centered by a larger red and a smaller medium blue diamond.The corners are similar in style to the medallion.As is characteristic of many Afshar rugs the borders are equally narrow.The red and blue minor borders employ stylized floral pattern and the central band utilizes palmettes and diagonal leaves.The innermost guard border has a polychrome barberpole design and at the lower end there is a narrow multicolor soumak woven strip.The colors are from natural sources.The condition is good except for the green medallion which has evenly low pile.SOLD
