Age: circa 1890

Measurements: 7′.3"x4′.11" (221×150 cm)

The dark blue field with a busy scatter fill of flowers,trees,domestic animals,etc.is centered by an ivory pole medallion of three hexagons each containing four large chickens and have other smaller animals strewn about.The striped corners are taken from Persian shawl designs.The borders are all classic to the Afshar design canon.All the colors are from natural sources.The flatwoven ends are original.The pile is especially soft and silky.The rug is in excellent condition.SOLD
