Unusual Afshar bag.Afshar tribes are located in Kerman province, south east Persia (Iran)

Age: circa 1880

Dimensions: 1′.9″x1′.8″ (53×51 cm)

Bags were mostly used by nomads for storing tools,food etc.The dark green field is quite uncommon.This example has large stylized botehs in the field,creating a nice harmony with the main border.There are many unusual details in the field which make this piece interesting and appealing.The rug has a soft handle and beautiful colors.The condition is good with the original tabs and the kilim finishing is intact.
