This very attractive eastern Caucasian scatter rug shows and ascending pattern of palmettes,various stylized leaves,quincunxes,lazy S’s,rosettes,hooked elements,dashes and other interesting elements in shades of red,shades of blue,shades of green,yellow,ivory and dark brown.The main border presents variations on the classic Zeikhour wave design.The red minor borders host floral chain in blue,green and rose.At each end is a dark blue soumak strip and a knotted warp net.The dark blue selvedges are original and intact.All the colors are from natural sources.The piece is in good pile and condition.
