Squarer than usual for Bergama weavings, the blue field has an unusual central device and a sinekil (dot/fly) pattern often seen on Ghiordes prayer rugs. The red main border is a variant of a Kufic design which has very early Anatolian antecedents. The minor borders are very unusual for this area. The sides and ends are original. The Turkish knotted pile is in good condition.

Through our efforts to provide the highest quality images, we use very high resolution photos. If you cannot see the whole rug please try refreshing the page - Some long rugs may not fit without zooming.
