The field pattern is adapted from Persian silk textiles and displays a narrow stripe design in navy, red, burnt orange, ivory and light chocolate. In all stripes are identical ribbon meanders. There are two borders with approximately equal width:a red inner with connected stylized flowers;and an outer ivory band with a diagonal leaf and small palmette design. There are narrow barber pole lines in the border system. The multicolor soumak closure tabs have a chevron pattern. All the finishes are intact including the tassels and the braided closure loops. The red wool flatwoven back is completely preserved and gently abrashed. At one end of the back are multicolor stripes. The colors are vibrant and the condition is good except for a couple of small repairs on the red kilim.
