Age: circa 1875

The ever popular Lesghi star pattern is here exemplified by three broad stars on a royal blue ground with secondary geometric elements closely filling the interstitial spaces. The kufesque ivory design is rendered on a red ground in the main border. There are two flanking diagonally striped minors. In addition there is an innermost ivory band with polychrome stars and a medium blue inner and a blue and black outermost minor.Furthermore, there is a red and white line surrounding the whole and five two tone barber pole stripes. All the colors are from natural sources. The condition is good and so is the pile.

Through our efforts to provide the highest quality images, we use very high resolution photos. If you cannot see the whole rug please try refreshing the page - Some long rugs may not fit without zooming.
