The rich abrashed madder ground is closely patterned with an allover textile derived repeat of rosettes, palmettes, curving leaves and geometric stems. The navy blue main border has a classic village rendition of the turtle palmette and stiff vine motif. The light blue minor borders are both patterned in a simplified leaf and blossom design. The excellent pile wool is locally sourced from the Shahsavan tribes and the color palette is both wide and naturally derived. All the colors are from vegetable sources. The condition is very good.
