Most Khamseh rugs are on blue or ivory fields.This beautiful example sports a triple ivory pole medallion with striped edge triangles,with a busy scatter of birds and other forms.An attractive red inner main border frames the panel and there are chessboard end stripes.The wool is velvety and the colors are nice.Plain woven ends and pile are both in very good condition.
