Veramin saddlebag set,complete with backs and bridge from north central Persia (Iran)

Age: circa 1890

Dimensions: 3'.11"x2'.0" (119x61 cm)

These saddlebags are in original state with closure loops and tabs.The colorful diagonal stripe design is popular with Veramin weavers.The cartouche border,resembling a Turkmen design is also widely used.The pile is lush,chunky and unworn.Complete Veramin bag ensembles are now rarely encountered.
