This totally eccentric Zeikhour long rug displays a mixture of motifs in vibrating stripes in various colors and includes:small animals, geometric elements,botehs,quasi-calligraphy,flowing leaves and fish-like elements on a black ground. The design is probably taken from an early textile. The sole ivory border has a red and green double flower modular motif. There are several solid lines in red and blue. The weave is compact and fine. The colors are vibrant and alive. The piece needs some attention otherwise it is in good pile and condition. It is being restored professionally.
