Senneh kilim from North Persia in good condition.Kilim means flatweave and they are woven in flat stitch technique.This one is circa 1880,very finely woven and measures 6'.2"x4'.1" (188x124cm) Senneh weavers wove beautiful and sophisticated kilims.This particular one is very fine,has fantastic handle and quality.The design is called Herat or Herati which is the most common Senneh design.The ivory field has beautiful details and elements which are nicely placed.The yellow main border is quite attractive and has two minor borders both sides.Senneh kilims are one of the most popular kilims among Persian kilim lovers especially finely woven ones.The center and the borders are in good harmony including the very last red and green lines along the sides.
