Afshar bag from South Persia with its original back.The piece is circa 1880,nice colors,attractive design,good condition,measures 1'.11"x2'.5" (0.58x0.74cm) and soft handle.It was woven for storage use.The bag has its original tabs beautifully drawn with all the good colors.The field design is mostly associated with bags but we sometimes see in rugs as well.Afshars were very diverse weavers and produced beautiful weavings.The main border and the minor borders go quite well together and lighten up the piece.
