Caucasian rug fragment from Moghan area.It is circa 1850,nice colors,interesting details,measures 1'.6"x0'.5" (0.46x0.13cm) good pile and soft handle.Even this small piece of a rug shows how wonderful and creative Moghan weavers were.The piece is tiny and has so many beautiful colors like red,pink,yellow,blue,green,ivory,purple etc.It has an interesting and rare design combination.The back of the fragment is flat and has medium size knot.We don't know exactly what the complete design was but it is definitely a striking one.A wonderful piece to own and cherish.
