Belutch balisht from Persia with silky wool,cotton highlights,good pile,interesting design,kilim ends with some problems,circa 1890,soft handle and measures 2'.10"x1'.9" (0.86x0.53cm) The piece has a rare and attractive design and it is a beautiful example of a Belutch weaving.The field has small tree like designs along with other small elements.The kilim ends are very elegant with a brocaded like weaving and the piece is illegibly dated.The main and minor borders are in good harmony with the rest of the piece.Most Belutch weavings have this dark look and good ones are very much appreciated by dealers and collectors.
