North West Persian runner,Azerbaijan Province,circa 1910.Size:13'.10"x3'.11" (422x119 cm).The dark indigo field displays a colorful angular version of the traditional mina khani pattern,particularly rich in white tangerine flowers.The minor borders are frequently encountered on rugs from this area while the less common yellow main has linked palmettes and buds.The pile is in very good condition and there is a kilim stripe at each end.
