Dosemealti rug (15)

Dosemealti rug from Southwest Anatolia in very good condition.It is circa 1920,measures 5'.1"x4'.10" (155x147cm) The rug has a traditional Dosemealti look and design with three medallions in the field.Most rugs from this region have navy field but not in this case.The background color is red and the rug has dark green medallions which is very attractive and rare.The three medallions are meticulously drawn and look very elegant.The main border is very common in Dosemealti rugs and so is one of the minor borders except the ivory minor border which is quite unusual.The handle of the rug is stiff.It has its original kilim ends with stripes.The sides are all there and the wool quality is superb.It is a good decorative item.
