This is one of Kozet's favorite rugs.Eagle Kazaks or Chelaberd Kazaks are from Southwest Caucasus.This one is circa 1880,perfect condition,measures 7'.7"x5'.7" (231x170cm) and has beautiful colors and drawing.There are two medallions in the madder field which is full of interesting and attractive details.The main crab border is the most popular border among Eagle Kazaks and the two minor borders are quite common with the rugs from this region.The piece has soft handle and very good condition.It has its original ends and sides.The rug is rich in colors with nice yellow,blue,red ivory etc.The Eagle Kazak medallion is quite sophisticated and attractive.This medallion is also used in Persian rugs especially Hamadans.It is a beautiful collectible item with high quaity.
